The TLX has two powertrains. For the Technology and A-Spec trims, the sedan is powered by a 2.0-liter mono-scroll turbocharged gas engine with an output of 272 and 280 lb-ft of torque. The Technology trim pairs this powertrain with a front-wheel driveline, while the A-Spec has an SH-AWD for ultimate all-weather sports performance.
The second engine is exclusive to the Type S trim. This 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged six-cylinder engine produces 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Along with a Super Handling AWD system, a 10-speed automatic transmission with SportShift paddle shifters on the steering wheel is standard. Technology
The Technology trim is equipped with a 17-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system.
